state of union

I manage to catch the President's Annual Message to Congress on CNN Live without any disturbance. Aqil sleept soundly on my lap throughout the speech.
I have to admit it was a really good one. I mean he had done the research well to patch almost every area. I envy him for his use of language and the way he address the United States Congress.
The reply speech by Republican's Bob McDonnell was somewhere i find cliche. Although there is area he agrees the presidents agenda and priorities, I smell insincerity.
"To Democrats, I would remind you that we still have the largest majority in decades, and the people expect us to solve problems, not run for the hills. And if the Republican leadership is going to insist that 60 votes in the Senate are required to do any business at all in this town -- a supermajority -- then the responsibility to govern is now yours as well. Just saying no to everything may be good short-term politics, but it's not leadership. We were sent here to serve our citizens, not our ambitions. So let's show the American people that we can do it together."nytimes

"Today, the federal government is simply trying to do too much."
However, CNN fact check is amazing. Around of applause!
Now let see the actions from the words.
