Hello FBian,
I am a user myself.
I had registered an account purely to get connected with mates. And it proves me absolutely not wrong, now I get daily updates of my friends without even have to call each and every of them. Amazingly of all, I get reminded of their birthday.
The social network bloom has affected many, not just the youngesters but adults too. Nowadays, I'm very sure that employer finds it difficult to cut down employee addiction as FB is part of the daily life.
A kind reminder, don't share everything on the net. Remember to check on your privacy setting once in a while. Take time to read and understand the terms and condition, or even to try and test the new improved settings. Approved applications also could circulate your details to certain groups. Not forgetting, facebook saved all your key in data, even if you have deleted them or de-activate your account. So be considerate of yourself with what you wanna share with others. Meaning, you don't blame others for publishing or spitting on your publicly access data.
However, I couldn't agree any less, Fan Pages and Groups helps in business and marketing growth or even getting everyone together. Like in Malaysia, politician used Facebbok as a platform to be nearer to the public. While in the Philippines, Facebook is a form of getting feedback from the public.
Thus, it would be a real big shame to fight over Facebook. It is very certain that Facebook is an open public area, you agreed to the terms of the social networking deal. So why sue? Why take into account of the little spitter? And why disturb others' freedom of speech when clearly FB is just a social networking area!
Bollocks! Please... Don't make my friend your friend. Its so uncool to add friends because it so happen you have the same mutual friend. Have some respect to yourself, why bother adding if you aren't communicating or even bother networking.
p/s: For there is nothing either good or bad, thinking makes it so.
